Start by watching the short video below to learn what coaching is, then explore the frequently asked questions that follow. Whether you’re a professional, leader, or organization, my hope is that you’ll leave with greater clarity, confidence, and a better understanding of what it’s like to work with Dornor Consulting.
Because meaningful transformation begins with clarity, trust, and the right partnership.
How do I know where to start?
You can book the service you already know you need. If you’re unsure which coaching pathway, package, or service is the best fit, start with an Alignment Strategy Session. Together, we’ll clarify your goals, identify your biggest opportunities, and recommend the best next steps. There’s no obligation to purchase additional services.

Do you guarantee results?
Lasting transformation depends on your commitment, participation, and willingness to take action. Every client will receive my full attention, professional expertise, honest feedback, strategic guidance, and a supportive environment designed to help you gain clarity, build confidence, overcome obstacles, and move toward meaningful, sustainable change.
Do you provide therapy or crisis counseling?
No. Coaching is not therapy, counseling, psychiatric care, or crisis intervention. My coaching services are designed for individuals who are ready to develop new skills, gain clarity, pursue meaningful goals, strengthen leadership, and create positive change in their personal or professional lives.
If you are experiencing thoughts of suicide, self-harm, severe emotional distress, or another mental health emergency, please seek immediate support from a licensed mental health professional or emergency services rather than scheduling a coaching session.
U.S. Crisis Resources
- Emergency: Call 911 if you or someone else is in immediate danger.
- 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: Call or text 988, or chat online 24/7 for free, confidential support. Veterans can press 1 after dialing 988 or text 838255.
- Crisis Text Line: Text HOME to 741741 to connect with a trained Crisis Counselor 24/7.
Will I receive homework or activities between sessions?
It depends on your goals, preferences, and coaching journey. Every client is unique, so I tailor the coaching experience using a variety of evidence-based approaches, practical tools, assessments, reflective exercises, accountability practices, and other resources that best support your growth.
Nothing is forced. Coaching is a collaborative process, and you always have the autonomy to decide which tools and strategies feel right for you. My role is to provide guidance, recommendations, and options that support your development while honoring your values, goals, and readiness for change.
Clients who actively engage in the coaching process—by reflecting, practicing new skills, completing agreed-upon action steps, and applying what they learn between sessions—often experience deeper insights, greater momentum, and more sustainable results. Coaching is most effective when it becomes something you practice, not just something you attend.
Are my coaching sessions confidential?
Absolutely. Creating a safe, respectful, and trusted coaching environment is one of my highest priorities. I understand that meaningful transformation requires honesty, vulnerability, and psychological safety. What you share during our coaching relationship is treated with the utmost care, professionalism, discretion, and respect.
Your personal information, coaching conversations, assessments, and related materials are handled confidentially and are never shared with others without your permission, except when disclosure is required by law or when there is a concern about imminent risk of serious harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse or neglect where reporting is legally required, or a valid court order.
My commitment is to provide a space where you can think openly, explore challenges honestly, ask difficult questions, and grow with confidence, knowing your privacy and dignity are respected throughout the coaching process.
What if we discover coaching isn’t the right fit?
My commitment is to serve your best interests. At any time during the coaching process, it may become clear that I am not the right coach for your specific goals, circumstances, or needs. Likewise, you may decide that my coaching style or approach is not the best fit for you.
If that happens, we’ll have an open and honest conversation about it. Depending on your situation, I may recommend a different coaching pathway, another coach, a consultant, a licensed mental health professional, another qualified specialist, or a different resource that is better equipped to support your next steps.
I believe ethical coaching means recognizing when another professional may be better suited to help. My priority is not simply to retain clients—it’s to ensure you receive the support, guidance, and expertise that best serves your growth and well-being.
Do you work with people from different backgrounds, cultures, beliefs, and life experiences?
Absolutely. I welcome individuals from all backgrounds, cultures, belief systems, professions, identities, and life experiences. While my personal knowledge and lived experience may be deeper in some areas than others, I approach every client with curiosity, humility, respect, and a genuine desire to understand their unique perspective.
At the end of the day, we are all human. Regardless of our differences, every person experiences seasons of growth, challenge, change, uncertainty, and transformation. My role is not to ask you to become someone else, but to help you become more fully aligned with who you are, your values, and the future you want to create.
I strive to create a coaching environment where clients feel seen, heard, respected, challenged, and supported. My coaching is trauma-informed, grief-informed, and neurodivergence-informed, supported by more than 40 hours of APA-approved professional training in these areas. While I am not a licensed mental health professional, I recognize how life experiences can influence behavior, communication, learning, decision-making, and personal growth, and I coach with those considerations in mind.
I believe meaningful transformation begins with trust, respect, compassion, and a willingness to learn from one another. Everyone is welcome here.
What do you expect from me as a coaching client?
Coaching is a partnership. While I bring professional expertise, strategic guidance, evidence-based tools, thoughtful questions, accountability, and a supportive environment, your growth ultimately depends on your willingness to engage in the process.
To get the most from coaching, I ask that you:
- Show up on time and fully present for each session.
- Be honest with yourself and with me, even when the truth feels uncomfortable.
- Come with an open mind and a willingness to explore new perspectives.
- Be receptive to respectful feedback and coaching.
- Take ownership of your choices, actions, and personal growth.
- Complete any mutually agreed-upon action steps or reflections between sessions.
- Communicate openly if something isn’t working or if your needs change.
- Practice patience and self-compassion—lasting transformation rarely happens overnight.
- Treat our coaching relationship with mutual respect, professionalism, and kindness.
Transformation cannot be forced. It happens when you’re genuinely ready to move forward. For some people, that readiness comes after reaching a breaking point. For others, it comes from a vision of what’s possible, a renewed sense of purpose, or the desire to create a better future. Whatever brings you here, coaching works best when you’re willing to move beyond insight and into intentional action.
My commitment is to walk alongside you, challenge you when needed, encourage you when appropriate, celebrate your progress, and support you as you build meaningful, sustainable change. I cannot do the work for you—but I will never expect you to do it alone.
